On sale for less than $800, I think this is a great alternative to rolling the dice on an Amazon special. If I were to have paid full retail, this would be a slightly different review. Overall, I’m quite content with the bike. It has replaced my car as my commuter vehicle. The front shocks absorb potholes pretty well without being to sponge. The rear rack mount is super sturdy. They included a lot of nice freebies like a set of bungee cords, a mountable lock, a pump, and a solid tool kit for assembly. Here are some of the nitpicking things that prevent a 5 star.
1)the assembly directions are rubbish. I had to find 3 different videos online to assemble it and I still have an extra piece. I’m pretty sure it’s a derailleur guard, but the obvious bolt to mount it to feels like it’s been mounted with torque wrench and it’s not budging.
2)one of the bolt mounts for the fender sheared its thread while I was installing it. I can’t mount the fender evenly now.
3) I get 10-15 miles on a charge, not the 55 advertised. I’m sure it has to do with me keeping it on the highest pedal assist level 5, but it would have been nice if they had been more obvious that the range was for the slowest setting only.
4)I’m 5’9’’ and feel like I’m on the very edge of comfort for this bike. It does say that 6’ is the highest for comfort, but you definitely want to try this thing first comfort first if you can.
