RETURN POLICY

Riding 5 Return Policy

Scope: This policy applies to purchases made in the United States through official RIDING 5 channels (including online orders and in-store orders that are not same-day, in-stock purchases). Purchases for Canada/EU are governed by the local site’s terms.
Important: Because lithium-ion batteries are hazardous materials, complete bikes or a la carte batteries are final sale once shipped and cannot be returned (see §§ 4, 8).

1) How to Start a Return
To be eligible for a refund, you must first obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) by either:

  • Submitting a request via our Start a Return page, or




Items returned without an RMA will not be refunded.
2) Order Cancellations
Online orders enter processing immediately and cannot be modified or canceled once placed.
Pre-orders ship according to the estimated timeline shown on the product page. In-stock orders typically ship within 2 business days of payment confirmation.
3) Return to Sender / Refused Delivery
If an order is returned to RIDING 5 or delivery is refused, you are responsible for return shipping fees (see §8). These fees will be deducted from your refund.
4) Non-Returnable Merchandise
The following items cannot be returned:

  • Helmets (any brand)


  • Child seats (e.g., Thule/Yepp and similar)


  • Batteries (standalone or included with a shipped bike; hazardous goods)


  • Spare/replacement parts (controllers, displays, harnesses, brakes, wheels, etc.)


  • Service fees (e.g., built & delivered / pro build / value-added delivery)


Please confirm part numbers and compatibility before purchasing spare parts.
5) New Bike Returns
Within 30 days of delivery, you may return a new, unused bike in original packaging:

  • You pay $149 per bike return shipping (see §8).


  • Refunds are issued after receipt and inspection (see §9).


6) Used Bike Returns
Within 30 days of delivery, if the odometer shows fewer than 20 miles and the bike is in good condition:

  • You pay $149 per bike return shipping; and


  • A 30% restocking fee (based on original purchase price) applies.
Both amounts are deducted from your refund.


7) Accessories & Merchandise
Within 30 days of delivery, accessories/merchandise (except items in §4):

  • New or used items may be returned;


  • Vehicle racks (e.g., Hollywood Racks) must be new, unused, and in original packaging—used racks are not returnable;


  • You pay accessory return shipping and a 30% restocking fee (per item, based on original purchase price).
Fees are deducted from your refund.

Example: If you return 2 accessories on May 1 and 1 accessory on May 15, you will be charged $10 + $10 + $10 = $30 in total return-shipping fees.
Batteries are not eligible for return. If a complete bike is returned with its battery, it will be handled under hazmat rules but the bike return fee remains $149.

9) Refunds

  1. Orders with promo/discount codes: If a discount code was applied, refund amounts are adjusted to reflect the promotion across the order. Returning only part of the order may reduce the refund beyond the simple line-item price difference.


  1. Timing: Refunds are processed after the item is received and inspected, to the original payment method.


  1. Condition: If returned items are not in original condition (e.g., missing accessories, damaged packaging, visible wear), RIDING 5 may deny the return or apply additional refurbishment/deduction fees.


10) How to Ship Returns
Use the prepaid return label issued during the RMA process. We recommend a trackable service and keeping your tracking number/receipt until your refund is completed.
11) Risk & Responsibility

  • RIDING 5 is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage occurring in transit due to carrier action/inaction.


  • For shipments outside RIDING 5’s standard process (e.g., third-party freight you arrange), RIDING 5 cannot provide additional documentation or tracking support.


12) Regional Notes & Mandatory Rights
This policy provides general consumer return guidance and does not waive any non-waivable statutory rights that may apply under governing law. For sales outside the U.S., please refer to the applicable local site/policy. In the event of discrepancies among translations, the English version controls.
