Alfonso from the Temecula location was awesome! He gave great customer service from the initial phone conversations to when we visited the store. We were waiting for the macfox to be in stock and Alfonso called us to let us know it was at the store. Alfonso was friendly and showed my 14 year old son how to use the e-bike. Thank you Alfonso!!
Everything good so far. I can really feel the quality in the frame and the components.

I'm yet to put any quality time on the Hunter 2.0, but I am excited to ride it. It's been too cold with snowy/icy roads and sidewalks for me to do anything more than a quick lap around the block to generally test things out. That went well enough but did reveal a couple of minor issues.
First, the headset as installed was loose, creating undesirable play in the front fork/steering tube. A quick loosening of the bars and tightening of the stem bolt fixed that right up, so no big deal, as long as one knows how to identify and fix the issue.
Second, the front brake caliper wasn't aligned properly. After my brief test ride I recognized a strange clicking noise from the front brake. The brake bad was getting slightly caught on all of the hole cut-outs of the brake rotor, making an unpleasant sound. That required some google searching to diagnose and also figure out how to fix, but thanks to YouTube I was able to get that sorted out too.
Lastly, the seam in the rear wheel is uneven and not flush, which is a little unnerving, but hopefully that's just cosmetic and not something that increases risk of a failure. Considering the source of some of the components, one probably has to expect some imperfections however, and as long as the bike rides ok, I'm good.
For the $799 I paid for the bike on Black Friday it seems like an incredible value and I can't wait to ride it. I'm glad I was able to sort out the couple of minor as-delivered assembly issues. Considering the price paid, I'm cool with those minor issues, but not every purchasers is going to recognize things like that and know how to fix on their own, so I'd hope that a little more care would be taken where initial assembly occurs.
Thank you so much for the detailed review and for giving the Hunter 2.0 a try — we’re glad to hear you feel it’s a great value and you’re excited to ride once the weather warms up.
We appreciate you pointing out the minor assembly issues and we’re happy you were able to get them sorted — if anything else comes up, please feel free to reach out and we’ll be glad to help.
Regarding the rear wheel, the rim seam you noticed is usually cosmetic and shouldn’t affect safety or performance. The Hunter 2.0 is equipped with durable CST tires, and the wheel set is designed to handle everyday riding with confidence. Still, if you ever feel unsure, we’re here to take a look.
Thanks again for your trust — we hope you enjoy many great rides ahead!
